1. Introduction

Residly Technologies Limited ("Residly", "we", "our", or "us") operates the Residly property management platform, accessible at residly.ng and app.residly.ng. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

By using Residly, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create a Residly account, we collect your name, email address, company name, and password.

Property and booking data: Information you enter about your properties, apartments, bookings, guests, and financial transactions.

Guest information: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and ID numbers of guests that you enter into the platform on behalf of your business.

Usage data: Information about how you use the platform, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken.

Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address when you access the platform.

Payment information: Subscription billing is handled by Paystack. We do not store your card details — these are processed directly by Paystack.

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase infrastructure, hosted in the United States. Firebase provides enterprise-grade security including encryption at rest and in transit.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Access to your data within the platform is controlled by role-based permissions — admins have full access, house managers have limited access as configured by the account owner.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only with the following service providers who help us operate the platform:

6. Guest Data

As a Residly customer, you are responsible for the guest data you enter into the platform. You must ensure you have appropriate consent from your guests to store and process their personal information. Residly acts as a data processor on your behalf for this information.

Guest data is stored separately per account and is not accessible to other Residly customers.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days before deletion to allow for data export. You may request immediate deletion by contacting us at hello@residly.ng.

Backup copies may be retained for up to 30 additional days after deletion.

9. Cookies

The Residly landing page (residly.ng) uses Google Analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. The app (app.residly.ng) does not use tracking cookies — it uses Firebase Authentication tokens stored in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.

Residly is a business platform not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of Residly after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
